The Growing Roots Garden,

Y’all this is it! We secured our very own growing location in partnership with Pomona Unified School District. A little over 1/8th acre is what we have to show Pomona that we can grow our own food in community.

We initiated in March 2020 and expect to have plants in-ground by Spring 2021.
Come join us!

Very excited to see this land transformed into our own lil slice of paradise.

Center Street Community Garden, Pomona

Thanks to Pomona Hope, we were able to partner and use this 1/4th acre lot as a platform to grow food, host workshops and other community events. Located in the heart of downtown Pomona, Center Street has been established since 2009. A gem in a food desert, it is home to a close knit group of plot holders and growing. It provides free food and a relaxing atmosphere to its members and the community.

Our spot on San Francisco Ave

Our first residential project here in P-town! Located on the corner of San Francisco Ave and San Antonio Ave in Pomona, CA - built February 2019. This residence is home to Dean and Tassy.

Consisting of nine 3’ x 9’ and 18” high vegetable beds, a Tromboncini squash trellis, and a trapezoid veggie patch, it was one of our most productive growing spaces. All on a fully automated drip system.

​Chris’ Vegetable Bed

This is our first residential project completed. Located in Fullerton, CA , built in September 2018, it is now growing vegetables for the homeowner.
​
The bed is L-shaped 8’ x 4’ and 18” high. It is uniquely irrigated by clay pots that are filled with water. The plants draw water out as needed and the pots are filled about three times a week.
